Betwixt and Between

So, KKBeckett asked me how long this fic is going to be.  Other people have asked similar questions…

To be completely honest, I have no clue.

Originally, it was supposed to be something small... to bridge the gap between AtP and the next book.  Kinda like a Chain of Memories or a Days thing.  Somewhere between ten and twenty chapters… fluff, healing… nothing too big.  A tiny little plot where they have to deal with the darkness…

Then it started developing its own enemies and plot arcs and stuff like that.  The darkness went from being something small to take care of to something MASSIVE.

So far, there are 60 chapters posted.  And yes, I am aware that there isn’t a whole ton of plot in it.  Remember, I had plot for 10 or 20 chapters and then I tried to fit that plot into 60 chapters.  I know, I know. You can tell me it’s bad writing all you want.  I know.  Am I going to fix it? Probably not.  For the most part, you all seem to enjoy what I’m putting out there, even if it can be atrocious at times.  I am working on getting some more plot worked in there. I have an endgame now.  !!

It started as just a healing and fluff story.  Then Marly and Larxene decided to show up and cause trouble.  Plus, there's this thing with Kuin, there's reverberations of Xehanort.  Sephiroth's gonna cause a few problems and Cloud’s gonna have to deal with him a couple of times.  'Cause Cloud decided that he's gonna have to go deal with his darkness like rar's Sora.  Thanks rar, thanks a lot.  There are still Keyholes to be sealed, Heartless wanting to invade worlds, random Nobodies floating about.  There will be reverberations from the Shadow.  Hollow Bastion's still a mess…

Plus, there are the happy things that get to occur.  Like, relationships developing.  Namiku finally has their first kiss! Squall and Rinoa will develop.  Sora and Kairi will obviously develop.  Axel may just get a couple of dates with Kuin.  Roxas and Xion will be adorable. 

Ansem will get some sense talked into him.  A couple of people will get new Keyblades.  There's the Million Dreams Festival, Halloween and Christmas.  Oh, and a wedding.  I'll let you guess on whose it is. 

So, Betwixt and Between has gone from being an in-between story to a proper epic fanfic all of its own.  Congrats. 

I have it mostly all plotted out.  I just have to write it all.
